What areas do your taxis and airport cars cover?
We cover a large part of Kent, but our taxis and airport transfer services operate mostly in and around the Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge and Crowborough areas as well as East Sussex. As long distance taxi specialists we can take you to any destination across the UK.
How do I know my airport car service will turn up on time?
Whether you’ve booked an executive car or an airport transfer to Heathrow or Gatwick, you will receive a phone call to your landline or a text message the night before your journey to confirm your collection time. At Airport Car Servics, we pride ourselves on our reliability and attention to detail. This is why so many of our passengers come back to us time and time again.
How are your airport car services regulated?
Private hire companies like Airport Car Services must comply with strict legislation. For example, you cannot flag a private hire car down in the street as you would a ‘Hackney’ taxi. You can view our Regulations page which explains how private hire cars and private taxis are regulated.
Are your private hire cars clean and smoke free?
Yes! All our taxis and executive cars are cleaned regularly, both inside and out. They are all strictly non-smoking so you can be sure of a well presented vehicle and a comfortable journey.
Can you accommodate children and do you have baby seats?
Yes. We welcome families with babies and children of all ages. Our fleet of private hire cars have rear-facing baby seats and toddler seats. Booster seats are also available for older children to ensure their comfort and safety on the journey. All our drivers are CRB checked so you can be confident to entrust your family’s care to Airport Car Services.
Are you caring and patient? I have elderly parents who travel long distances?
Yes. Our oldest customer is ninety nine! She travels with us twice a year from Tunbridge Wells to Kings Lynn in Norfolk. We appreciate travel can be particularly tiring for older people so we make sure there are regular stops for coffee, meals and toilet breaks. We are mindful of our passengers’ needs and park in convenient places and we’re happy to lend an arm to lean on!
How do we pay you?
You can pay for your airport transfer or executive car hire in several ways. Cash is usually most convenient but I also accept cheque, all major credit and debit cards Including AMEX (phone booking). We also have secure (chip and pin) devices in some of our private hire cars.
What happens if you already have a booking when I want to travel?
If Ian Dolwin isn’t available to do your airport transfer or taxi journey, we will arrange for another of our reliable friend drivers to pick you up. You will be given their direct phone number and you can rest assured you will receive a good service. All our drivers are skilled and experienced and care about the service we offer.
How can I pay?
We use a secure online payment system which you may have heard of called Stripe. We do not hold your card details, everything is held and processed using their highly secure system. Once your booking has been made through our site, you will receive two e-mails - one from us confirming that we have received the booking and one from Stripe which will be your payment receipt.
